The FC Delco U13 Fusion girls won the championship division of the YMS EPIC Tournament this weekend. The Fusion defeated the Penns Forest Freedom (Pittsburgh), the #1 team in PA according to USA Rank, by a score of 2-0. The victory concluded an undefeated weekend for the Fusion who benefited from a tenacious offense, a suffocating defense and tremendous goalkeeping. Their success was a total team effort. Significantly, the YMS EPIC marked the Fusion’s fifth appearance in a tournament final this spring including final appearances in the Indoor State Cup, the MAPS Spring Challenge, the Jefferson Cup (Champions), and PDA Spring Kickoff. Congratulations to the Fusion and Coaches Kevin Rooney and Mick Smith. Next up for the Fusion - their own FC Delco Player’s Cup.
