Individual Player Photo Tips

When taking Individual Player Photos for the Profiles for the FC Delco website, please follow the general guidelines below. There are certain photo dimension posting requirements for player photos.

1. Take notice of the background. No cars, porta-potties or other distractions in the background !!  Photos should NOT  be taken in front of a soccer net or goal.

2. Players shirts should all be tucked in and ALL players dressed alike.  All indivual photos should look the same.

3. Do not zoom in too close. Shoot in Portrait mode (camera tilted 90 degrees) rather than Landscape mode.  The beauty of digital photography is that you can always crop in closer on the computer!!  Photos should be take of the player from the waist up.  Ideally, the final cropped photo should include all of the uniform shirt and the full FC DELCO letters should be visible.  Again....do NOT Zoom in too close.  This can be done later on a PC if necessary....the further away you shoot, the better !!

4. Please send the original, unaltered, uncropped, uncompressed, full resolution photos.  If you can change each file name to the Players last name, that would be great (i.e. Smith.jpg). I will do all the proper adjustments in Photoshop to prepare it for posting to the website. Send the photos to John Hingley FC Delco Webmaster.  Due to file sizes, you may need to send multiple e-mails with only a few photos attached to each e-mail.  Some Internet Service Providers limit the size and amount of files you can attach to an e-mail.

5.  If you are knowledgeable of digital photography and wish to do your final editing, photos must be at 72 resolution, with an exact width of 144 pixels (2 inches) and a file size under 75 k.
