U-15 Lightning GK Madison Hileman Named to ECNL All-Event Team
Congrats to Madison Hileman on the U15G team for being selected to the All-Event Team, especially under the very trying conditions of 30-40 mph winds, which really impacted the results of many of the teams at this Event. Ninety-eight teams took the field for the fourth ECNL regular-season event, held March 12-14 in Las Vegas, Nev., in conjunction with the Las Vegas Showcase. The event marked the fourth regular-season national showcase for the ECNL. Additionally, an All-Event Team was selected based upon ECNL Player Identification Program scouting and through nominations by game coaches. The All-Event Team consists of 11 players in each of the U-15, U-16 and U-17 age groups.
ECNL Technical Report from the Recent id2 National Camp
On February 26-March 1, 2010 the ECNL held it's first national invite camp in conjunction with US Club Soccer id2 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Over the first three ECNL events (Eclipse, Final Four and Disney) players were scouted through the ECNL Scouting Program while playing with their teams. Players in the 1994 birth year that were identified were added to the ECNL Scouting Database. A limited number of players from the 1995 birth year were also identified. In January, 30 players were invited to the ECNL id2 National Training Camp to compete against eachother in front of US National Team staff coaches. It is important to note that the players invited to this years camp had their expenses paid by the ECNL. They were only required to cover their travel. This is a policy that will continue as the program moves forward.
Attached is the ECNL id2 National Training Camp Technical Report from the camp.
