Zack Steffen and Zach Pfeffer Head to Lisbon With U-18 National Team
U18 FC Delco Academy goalkeeper Zack Steffen and FC Delco alum Zach Pfeffer are bound for Lisbon, Portugal May 17-27 with the U18 Men's National Team for an international tournament. While there, the eighteen man U.S. roster will compete against U18 national teams from Portugal, Poland and Slovakia. Congratulations to both gentlemen on this outstanding achievement...and best of luck representing the United States (and FC Delco) in Portugal.

U-13 Freedom Girls Selected for Pre-Game Activities Before US-China Game on May 27
The Girls U13 FC Delco Freedom have been invited by the US Soccer Federation to participate in the pregame activities of the International Friendly between US Women National Team and China PR Women at PPL Park, Sunday May 27th. The Freedom will also be ball girls for the match. Kick off is 7:00 pm.
Pfeffer & McLaughlin Attend FC Delco Youth Clinic !!
On Monday April 16th, professional soccer players from the Philadelphia Union paid a visit to FC DELCO's youth clinic at the club's new home in Conshohocken, PA. It's no coincidence that the two players, were alumni of the FC DELCO Academy Program, Jimmy Mclaughlin and Zach Pfeffer. Jimmy and Zach, played along side, coached, and answered questions from both the kids and their parents, and signed autographs for the young players ranging in age from 6-8 years old. The boys had a fantastic time and the club's very appreciative of Zach and Jimmy's time and energy toward assisting in the development of youth soccer players in the community and with their Club.

U-16 Burnley Sweep Three Games at San Diego ECNL Showcase
Last weekend, FC Delco Burnley traveled to San Diego for the second of their three ECNL national showcase events. The girls had three tough games to play over teams from Tulsa Oklahoma, Colorado and Las Vegas. In the first game the Burnley ran into a very physical and organized TSC Hurricane team. The team fought hard and got a breakaway for Aley Kate McKinley late in the second half off a through ball from Kristina Zahan. That proved all that was needed to get the win as the Burnley shut out the TSC Hurricanes. In the second game, the Burnley once again won 1-0 on a goal by McKinley, this time after a corner kick scramble

ESPN Names U-18 Academy's Brett Campbell PA HS Player Of The Year
Brett Campbell of the U-18 Academy was recently named as ESPN’s Pennsylvania High School Player of the Year. Brett lead his Haverford School team to an 18-2-1 record by scoring 39 goals and tallying 8 assists. He also had both goals in the State Final to help his team win the PA Independent Schools State Championship. Brett, currently a HS Junior, has orally committed to Georgetown for 2013. Jimmy McLaughlin Signs As Home-Grown Player With Phila. Union
FC Delco's Jimmy McLaughlin became the Philadelphia Union's second home grown player after he signed with the MLS Club on Monday. Zach Pfeffer (pictured above with Jimmy), another FC Delco player, was the Union's first home grown player when he signed with the Club earlier this year when he was 16. Jimmy, who has played with the Club since U-12, completed his freshman season at Colgate University and was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Year. Check the Phila.
